Detonator Symmetrical

At the heart of the Subzero Forge is the Detonator core, a formidable combination of low RG and high differential. This dynamic duo offers unparalleled control and traction. The fast-spinning low RG provides unparalleled control, while the high differential delivers the raw strength needed to plow through the heaviest oil like a glacier carving its path. The Detonator is a proven winner, relentless on higher volumes of oil.

Leverage MXC Solid

Paired with this powerful core is the Leverage MXC Solid coverstock, enhanced with the Duramax™ additive. This isn't just another coverstock; it's an incredibly strong surface that maintains its texture longer than any before. You'll feel the ice-cold precision of the Evoke, but with an updated ferocity that true MOTIV enthusiasts will recognize as the Forge Flare’s fierce evolution.

When to Use

  • Speed Dominant

The speed dominant bowler will likely find the most frequent use of the Subzero Forge.  Bowlers who are always looking for something stronger and more controllable will love this new Forge.  The 2000 grit lss finish on the Leverage MXC solid cover will tear through the oil to provide easy hook for speed dominant players.

  • Balanced

Bowlers whose revs and ball speed match will use the Subzero Forge on high volumes of oil, fresh patterns, and when control is of the utmost importance.  Balanced bowlers who compete in tournaments will love the Subzero Forge for their fresh oil ball on higher volume patterns.  Additionally, first shift high volume house shots can be tricky if your ball is not controllable.  The Subzero Forge is great in those situations for balanced bowlers.

  • Rev Dominant

While balanced and speed dominant players often like to use asymmetrical bowling balls on higher volume and fresh oil patterns, many times rev dominant players struggle with those cores.  The Subzero Forge is as strong a ball as a rev dominant player may ever need, with the control of the quick revving symmetrical Detonator core.

    Subzero Forge Review

    Subzero Forge Ball Review

The Subzero Forge is the newest ball added to the Forge line. It has the Leverage MXC Solid reactive cover that controls and gives a great amount of traction on medium/heavy oil patterns and has the detonator core. The Subzero Forge creates a very strong smooth motion and is great for controlling patterns especially when the pattern calls for a strong smooth piece. This ball should fit the spot of the strongest solid in most bags of most arsenals. Designed for medium/heavy oil conditions, the Subzero Forge is going to be a piece to add for anyone looking for something stronger than Venom pieces and less than the Jackals. This piece is going to be a great ball to use on the fresh oil patterns and doesn’t shy away from letting you open up the pattern. I see this being in a ton of players bags considering how usable this ball is!

    Subzero Forge is Fantastic!

I am new to bowling at the ripe age of 60 and one of my balls is the Subzero Forge. This ball is so consistent and reliable. As long as I hit the spot and the oil pattern holds, this ball performs exactly the same each time. It turns heads and demolishes pins.

    Amazing Ball Good Bench mark

Out of the box, this ball was amazing. I threw it for around 2-3 weeks to get a good bit of lane shine on it to see its true reaction, and I will say it did not disappoint. It’s a great benchmark/starting ball and can give a way better read and is easily more controllable then say something like an angular motion ball. It has a very smooth roll down lane and can bite even on dry lane conditions. Would recommend to intermediate level bowlers and above.

    Coldest Forge in the game

The brand new Subzero Forge is exactly what Motiv has been looking for in a big, slower ball that helps control the lane. The Subzero Forge with the Leverage MXC Solid cover stock has allowed me to see A LOT of hook on fresh and longer patterns that I don't typically see. As I have been throwing this ball, it has helped me a bunch of being able to generate hook on heavier patterns without sacrificing the way the ball goes through the pins. If you are looking for something with a lot of hook potentially but still able to be controlled at the end of the pattern, pick up a Subzero Forge today!

    Sub-Zero, WINS

If you love the Evoke but find that it is too much ball for your Typical House Shot, the Sub Zero Forge is the ball for you. Was able to stand 25, rolling 15 at the arrows to 5 for break point and it found its way back the pocket.

When Motive says “smooth” motion they mean smooooth. Ball was responsive but did not overhook in the slightest, reads the lane a bit earlier than the Evoke but still keeps its energy through the pins. This is a good ball even for your lower average bowlers!
